#VUWP 2014 - The Urban Winery is back...

Posted by Isaac Forman on

The Vinteloper Urban Winery Project (#VUWP) is an initiative that pulls back the curtain on wine production & invites you to demystify wine through interactive demonstration, participation, education & tasting in a casual, fun environment.

Words are words, but this video summarising the 2013 VUWP will help you understand...

This year, #VUWP is partnering with The Adelaide Central Market, adding another layer to one of South Australia’s finest tourist attractions. The Winery will occupy Stall 61 (formerly Ripe) in the South Western corner of The Market, just near Barossa Fine Foods & The Providore.

From a successful run of Reverse BYO (#REVBYO) it became clear that the access to amazing fresh produce is perfectly complimented by wine. Therefore partnering with The Adelaide Central Market was a no-brainer & presents an amazing opportunity to offer insight into the art of winemaking in an environment where people are familiar with farm direct, quality produce.

Freshly harvested winegrapes will be delivered directly from the vineyard, then it is your chance to get involved with foot-tredding & basket press while you also learning about the process of wine production and maturation.

The Vinteloper Urban Winery Project will be operational from Friday 21st February to Saturday 29th March during all Adelaide Central Market trading hours.
