An ode to our patience. We've been saving this one for a special occasion. Highlights of oak-driven spice belies the elegance within that illustrates our restraint.
Like the physique of an Olympic swimmer, it has power yet grace. 2013 marked our final Shiraz harvest from the McLaren Vale region as we found the way home to our Adelaide Hills roots. Warm & dry conditions throughout Spring & Summer were supported by consistent Autumn & Winter. It was a warm spike in February that accelerated sugar accumulation & provided richness & intensity on the palate. The wine saw an 18-month oak maturation period, and now followed by a good few years under our care, it's set for your dinner table.
1818 bottles produced. Only 12 bottles re-released.
Plush yet gentle. There is concentration & intensity here. Generous dark berries wrapped in a structure of fine tannin. Scarce earth.
