Urban Winery Project Red # 6
POPPING UP IN DISUSED URBAN SPACES, WE MOVE IN OUR WINEMAKING EQUIPMENT, DELIVER GRAPES RIGHT TO THE HEART OF THE CITY & SHARE THE MAGIC OF WINEMAKING.
GRAPE NERDS AND MARSHMALLOW. BUT THEN IT GETS SERIOUS. LIP-SMACKING!
YOU THE PEOPLE HAVE STOMPED AND SPOKEN.
WHAT, WHERE, WHEN?
Behind the curtain of winemaking
Part made at Three Blue Ducks Rosebery [Sydney].
Park made at the Cellar Door Wine Festival [Adelaide]
Throughout March 2017.
This is a wine by the people, for the people. A blend of the best components of the batches produced at the Urban Winery Project Season 6.
250+ people joined us in Sydney. Hundreds more helped destem, foot stomp and basket press, tasting it along the way, when we returned to Adelaide.
Each of them has their names printed on a different bottle, so somewhere out there in the world are 10 bottles with only their name on it.
The mantra of the Urban Winery Project is participation, education (and as well as a healthy dose of emancipation), collaboration. Each year the UWP labels are created for us by artists we love. The label for Red # 6 comes from Adelaide based artist Fred Rock (@fredrocker).
