Urban Winery Project Red # 5
POPPING UP IN DISUSED URBAN SPACES, WE MOVE IN OUR WINEMAKING EQUIPMENT, DELIVER GRAPES RIGHT TO THE HEART OF THE CITY & SHARE THE MAGIC OF WINEMAKING.
IF POPPING BUBBLE WRAP WERE AN OLYMPIC SPORT...
THOSE WHO GATHERED FOR UWP 2017 WOULD BE GOLD MEDALISTS.
WHAT, WHERE, WHEN?
Behind the curtain of winemaking
Three Blue Ducks Rosebery - Sydney.
March 8th and 9th 2017.
We call these wines by the people, for the people. When 250+ fun-loving folks get hands-on and knee deep, it's easy to see why.
For the first time, a wine 100% from NSW [Orange to be exact], it will only be available in NSW, or here, our online store.
250+ people helped destem, foot stomp and basket press, tasting it along the way.
Each of them has their names printed on a different bottle, so somewhere out there in the world are 10 bottles with only their name on it.
The mantra of the Urban Winery Project is participation, education (and as well as a healthy dose of emancipation), collaboration. Each year the UWP labels are created for us by artists we love. The label for Red # 5 comes from Adelaide based artist, and former pro basketballer, Adam Ballinger (@adamballingerart).
