Urban Winery Project Red # 7
POPPING UP IN DISUSED URBAN SPACES, WE MOVE IN OUR WINEMAKING EQUIPMENT, DELIVER GRAPES RIGHT TO THE HEART OF THE CITY & SHARE THE MAGIC OF WINEMAKING.
GRAPE NERDS AND MARSHMALLOW. BUT THEN IT GETS SERIOUS. LIP-SMACKING!
YOU THE PEOPLE HAVE STOMPED AND SPOKEN.
WHAT, WHERE, WHEN?
Behind the curtain of winemaking, from Season 7 of the Urban Winery Project.
Made at Three Blue Ducks Rosebery [Sydney] throughout February 2018.
This is a wine by the people, for the people. A blend of the best components of Shiraz + Lagrein crushed and processed at the Urban Winery Project Season 7.
230+ people joined us in Sydney to help destem, foot stomp and basket press, tasting it along the way.
Each of them has their names printed on a different bottle, so somewhere out there in the world are 10 bottles with only their name on it.
The mantra of the Urban Winery Project is participation, education (and as well as a healthy dose of emancipation), collaboration. Each year the UWP labels are created for us by artists we love. The label for Red # 7 comes from Adelaide based artist Angus Long (@angus_long_artist).
