MUSEUM RELEASE - SH/15 Shiraz 2015
A limited museum release of 24 bottles only.
Our 8th vintage of Shiraz, and one of our best. 2015 has the whole package, like fine wine should.
At the time of release, we said 2015 was "playful enough to work on Wednesday yet serious enough to work on Saturday."
10 years on, the wine is leaning more towards Saturday over Wednesday, as the seriousness has stepped up over time up, but we won't judge your Wednesday selections.
'15 Shiraz and your decanter will be fast friends. Let this one breathe for an hour for its best expression.
Remembering 2015.
It was an early vintage across the board. Likely driven by the generally dryer and warmer second half of 2014, the vines got out of bed early and were ahead of schedule for most of the season.
Vintage began for us on the 11th of February, which was a bit of a shock, and by the end of February we had already harvested 65% of our crop for the season.
Shiraz was part of the February intakes, which is extremely unusual for the Adelaide Hills climate.
Further Cellaring time?
In a sweet spot right now, we believe this release still has 5-10 good years ahead. Grab a couple and see it evolve for yourself.
