Chef Kirby Shearing grew up in the Adelaide Hills.
His first gig in a kitchen came at just 15 years old, inside the infamous Windy Point Restaurant.
And in the same year that Vinteloper launched, 2008, Kirby opened Mayura Station's 'The Tasting Room'.
Since then, and over the last decade, Kirby has cooked with Duncan Welgemoed (Africola), Mark Best (Marque) and Shane Wilson (Anchovy Bandit), all while building Elementary by Soul Co, his 23-seat fine dining restaurant, in Mount Gambier.
A personal friend of mine since 2022, I've asked Kirby to come to Vinteloper and share his food with you.
Kirby will be taking over our menu for à la carte snacks on all weekend, May 9th and 10th.
